full color plates inspired by as many books. each plate is wrapped in a vellum
sleeve with the pencils for the piece on the front and a description of the book
and bibliography of the writer on the back. take a look at the scans above to see how this

published by edizioni nuages in 1998 on
behalf of the french newspaper le monde, this portfolio quickly sold out its 450 copies
run.
the portfolio is signed on the inner cover
by lorenzo mattotti but it's not numbered. according to the publisher, mattotti numbered
the first 50 copies and then only signed the other 400. a small "defect" which
in no way detracts from the beauty of this rare item.
the plates and vellum sleeves are in pristine condition, the
outer sleeve is in vf because of a 1" crease and a slightly bumped top left corner
which didn't affect the plates. out of print.
