| quite surely the most lavishly-produced guido
crepax book ever, published by franco maria ricci in 1977. a silk-covered slipcase contains two 13x21" hard-cover
volumes, one by crepax and one by beppe madaudo. both 68-pages volumes are covered
in black silk with a clear acetate dust-jacket, stamped in gold
foil on the front and the spine and are numbered and signed by
the respective author. all text is in Italian and the run is limited to 900 s/n
copies. out of print.
crepax' volume is half lithographed (text) and half
serigraphed (images) in black on hand-made grey-azure heavy paper. madaudo's volume is
wholly lithographed in black on hand-made grey-azure heavy paper. you don't see something
like this often because the process is very expensive.
this copy has a slightly damaged slip-case because a show
attendee dropped it on the floor a crushed bottom corner. the fall produced a slight ding
in madaudo's volume bottom right corner. SOLD
